Our Warren

2007 - Life is not static; to live implies change. And we do change - places, jobs, circumstances - even the Cast Of Characters - nothing ever remains the same for very long.

This is the New House, with the "Noo Bun Room" wherein lives The "Next Generation" of Our Warren...

This is MissyBun

This is MissyBun, the bunny who has been with us longest. She came to us from Michael S. who took her in after her original owner passed away from cancer in 2003. His bunny, Kramer (ATB), didn't get along with Missy, and since Kramer owned everything Michael owned, including Michael, Missy moved on to find a Forever Home at Our Warren.

While living at Our Warren, Missy met Belinda Bunny and learned how to be a Top Bun. She also met George, who decided what he wanted most in life was to be bonded to a "Big, Beautiful Bunny Gurl ob Gen'rus P'porshuns". Shortly after he was neutered, he chewed a hole into her habitat and, after demonstrating his devoted and adoring grooming abilities, was graciously permitted to move in.

This is Dusty
This is Dusty. He arrived at Our Warren in June of 2007. In a lot of ways, he's the Classic miniLop - He Hops! He Flops! He Leaps small obstacles in a Single Bound! He Binkies! He Clowns! He's an Attention Sponge! Put your hand, palm down, anywhere in his vacinity and he will be instantly attracted to it: he is the Ideal Amazing Pet-Receptor Bunny! He is also a Garbage Gut who will eat anything and beg for More! In short, he's adorable, irresistable and wonderful. We are delighted we have room for him here at Our Warren :)

This is George
This is George. George arrived at Our Warren as a Bunny-Inna-Box from a local veterinarian. He'd been left as an Easter Dump - a little bunny rabbit in a cardboard box, without food, water or even a bed - a bunny bought as an Easter "toy", not even regarded as a living creature, and now abandoned when his baby-bunny *Cute* wore off.

At Our Warren George blossomed into an energetic youngbun. He inherited Belinda Bunny's blog, "The Hay Diaries" (http://www.thehaydiaries.com) when she passed away in July of 2004. He has since published in other venues in support of the annual "Make Mine Chocolate" campaign, amongst other topics. He continues to blog about being a HouseRabbit in a Multi-Species Household in his quest "Not to Grow Old, but to Grow 'Tellygint".

Mr Mouse, aspiring ADA
This is Mr Mouse. He watches "Law & Order" on television. No kidding! As soon as he hears the pizzacatto scene-change music, he insists upon being taken from his habitat and carried into the Sitting Room where he has his Very Own Pillow on which he sits to view "Jack McCoy" side-on, with great intensity. We figure he's studying *how* to become a hard-charging, Constitution-loving, logic-driven defender of HouseRabbit Rights.

Luckily, he works for carrots, unlike others who demand they be paid a living wage. He has just joined Michelle A. and Rudy Esquhare, Esq. (Salad Bar, NY) to work for the Prosecution on SPCA cases. Since he hasn't passed his Salad Bar, he figures he's a Special Investigator. That's okay. It will look good on his resume. He's also working part-time for Lagomorphin Enterprises to help pay for Law School. This is One Serious Rabbit!

This is Foxie
Foxie arrived with Dusty, but before going to live with him, she had been dumped by her previous owner - who didn't even know that she was a little girl! She is a tiny Netherland Dwarf, marked like an English Spot. When she arrived she was so distressed that all she knew was to attack, growl and furiously bite any hands that came near to her. With slow, patient effort, we've managed to convince her that not all "hands" mean her harm. She accepts treats, has learned to love Salad Time and understands she has a new Forever Home where Rabbits Rule.

Noo Bun Room - Right

I'm not good with pictures and it shows! This is part of the "Noo Bun Room" in the New House into which we moved at the very end of 2004. Actually, this is an Old House: I grew up here. My parents moved here from Delaware County, PA, six months after I was born.
